At any given time, our Restoration Team works on several projects simultaneously. For historical and archival purposes, our HIW photographer diligently takes pictures during the restoration and documents the various processes each machine is being put through. We have compiled the photos in a photo gallery for each machine. We hope you enjoy them.

The 1886 Columbian Hand Iron Press, manufactured by V & J Figgins of London, is on display in our lobby. This fully restored Columbian press is an example of the capabilities of our Restoration Team in bringing a 128-year old machine back her majestic beauty.
The 1886 V & J Figgins is one of 14 (so far) Columbian presses in the HIW Museum Collection.
Featured here is the restoration of the 1886 V & J Figgins Columbian Iron Press.
